Overnight success

Ten years from now
I'll become an overnight success
My talent will be discovered
and I'll be thrust
unwillingly
into the spotlight.
People will ask my opinion
on world issues
of which I know nothing about,
and ask me to make profound statements
while selling their products.
I'll declare that fame
will not change me
and shun celebrity gatherings
as being shallow
and unnecessary.
My friends will be happy for me
and my enemies
will have some decent ammunition.
She has become proud
and self seeking.
I do not think her writing
is any good
at all.
They may be right
but they will never know
how many days
and hours
and lonely,winding roads
you have to travel
to become
an overnight success.
